This Blackened Lamellar Cuirass is a reproduction of historical lamellar armor, which offers both protection and mobility. Crafted from multiple rows of blackened steel plates, each lamella is carefully attached to leather backing, forming a flexible armor system that moves with the body.

The use of 20-gauge steel plates makes it suitable for events, LARP, or display. The blackened finish enhances corrosion resistance while giving the armor a rugged, battle-worn aesthetic. A central strip of brass plates adds visual contrast, like styles seen in historical armor across Eurasia.

Lamellar armor was widely used by warriors from the Viking world, Byzantine Empire, and across Asia. Unlike rigid plate armor, this lamellar plate armor construction distributes impact while maintaining flexibility, making it ideal for active movement in combat scenarios.
