Gothic Pauldrons represent the heights of 15th-century armor design, to protect warriors with full mobility during combat. Unlike earlier shoulder armor, these pauldrons have asymmetrical fluting and articulated ridges, which helped deflect blows while maintaining freedom of movement. Ideal for reenactments, displays, LARP, and themed events, these gothic pauldrons faithfully recreate the craftsmanship and designs of late medieval knightly armor.

Material & Construction

Each pair of Late medieval pauldrons is handcrafted from durable 16-gauge mild steel. The polished steel exterior gives a bright, authentic finish, while the back is treated with a black coating for rust resistance and wearer comfort. This combination of materials ensures that the pauldrons are strong, lightweight enough to wear for extended periods, and suitable for active movement.

Design & Features

Our gothic armor pauldrons are large and fully articulated, covering a wide shoulder area for maximum protection. Each piece has genuine leather straps with adjustable buckles, for you to secure the pauldrons to your shoulders comfortably. Additional leather lacing provides a custom fit and flexibility for mounting onto a breastplate or wearing as standalone shoulder protection. 

Comfort & Fit

The combination of steel and leather gives a secure and comfortable fit. The adjustable leather straps and lacing help in proper positioning on the shoulders. These gothic knight pauldrons are designed for long-term use, so that the participants can move, fight, or perform in full costume without restriction.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• Wipe with a dry cloth after use to remove dirt or moisture.
• Apply light oil to steel surfaces to prevent rust.
• Store in a dry place.
• Condition leather straps occasionally to preserve flexibility.
