13th Century Great Helm / Pot Helm 16 gauge

Our great pot helmet is handmade from 16 gauge mild steel and is fully functional. Its padded liner absorbs shock, adds comfort, and aligns with the eye slit. It fits all head sizes with an inner circumference of 72 cm (without liner) and has a sturdy chin strap with a brass buckle to keep it in place during battles(69 cm with liner) The total height is 33 cm, and the width at the bottom from front to back is 22.5 cm. The eye slits are 10.5 cm long, 1.6 cm wide at the inner end, and 1.4 cm wide at the outer end. Weighs about 3 Kgs and 390 grams Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.

This helmet is inspired directly by several 13th-century sources and, for example, is closely similar to many of the helmets seen in the Maciejowzki bible. The PURE BRASS Cross riveted to the helm’s front makes it look straight from the Middle Ages! Its flat top is typical of that period that evolved into the more pointed sugarloaf helm. So make yourself an elite knight or character in your next medieval event with this historically inspired piece of art!
