This shield boss is HAND FORGED from sturdy 14-gauge MILD STEEL. It is about (8.6 X 8.6) inches (22cm x 22cm) in size and has a height of about 5cm (1.9 inches). This umbo is supplied with mushroom head steel rivets and washers. Each rivet is about 15.5 mm long with a pin that is 13.3 mm long and 4 mm thick. Each washer has an inner diameter of about 5 mm and an outer diameter of 10.5 mm. Weight of the umbo: 816 grams. Since this is a hand-forged product, slight variations in size, weight, and finish must be expected.

Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
