Tudor 16th Century Closed helmet / Armet

159.99$

The Tudor close helmet is the natural evolution of the classic late medieval armet. Its profile and shapes have changed just like the way it closed around the head of the wearer, but the general idea remains the same: protecting the knight as well and as conveniently as possible. During the 16th century, it was used both at war and at magnificent jousting events typical of the Tudor court. IT IS PERFECT AS A DÉCOR PIECE, MEDIEVAL FAIR OR EVENT, BUT NOT AS A FUNCTIONAL FORM OF ARMOUR.

It is HANDMADE from 18gauge mild steel, lined with a comfortable and secure LEATHER LINER. A circumference of approximately 68 cm makes it ideal for all head sizes. A sturdy chin strap with a lovely buckle ensures your helmet stays in place during battles. Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
