Description
This classic garment is a connection to the bravery and faith of the Knights Templar from the 12th to 14th centuries. The surcoat showed a knight’s loyalty and spiritual strength. The light color meant purity, while the bold red cross, as a neatly stitched appliqué, was a symbol of their promise to protect their Holy Land. People in those times could spot Templar knights easily on the battlefield, and their look alone struck fear in their enemies.
This surcoat has that same style. Made from strong but soft 220 GSM cotton canvas, it feels comfortable and very light while still being durable for long hours of use in training, LARP, or stage shows. It fits easily over armor and can be adjusted easily. The full length gives the same coverage knights once used to keep their armor cool under the hot sun during long campaigns.
For better movement, this surcoat has slits in the front, back and sides. These slits are very important for walking, fighting, horse riding and mounting, as they allow your legs to move freely without restricting your motion.
From museum displays to medieval themed events, this surcoat is a great tribute to the warriors who helped shape the medieval world.
