Description
This Late Medieval Brass Buckle is a reliable replica of buckles from the 1300–1400 CE period, by 14th-century archaeological discoveries. This buckle, which is handcrafted from pure solid brass, has a very different engraved human-head motif that is similar to the symbolic designs of the time that were used on medieval European belts, purses, and clothing.
Because each buckle is crafted by hand, it is lightweight and long-lasting. Leather straps and accessories are more versatile due to their small, compact size. It is ideal for costume projects, LARP kits, and projects with a medieval theme because it can accommodate belt widths up to 11 mm.
Over time, the polished brass surface will naturally acquire a patina, giving it an aged, golden sheen.
Care Instructions:
• Clean with a soft, dry cloth after use to remove dirt or oils.
• Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or water.
• To maintain shine, gently polish with a cloth.
• Allow patina to develop naturally for a more antique appearance if desired.
Note:
Each buckle is individually handcrafted, so subtle variations in engraving and shape may occur.
