Our Lombardic Byzantine Lamellar plates are an early 7th century AD piece of armour that would make an excellent companion to your reenactments from the Early Medieval Period. These are directly inspired by a historic find of Niederstotzingen Grab. Their shape and structure allow them to make a perfect lamellar armour.
These plates are crafted from sturdy 20 gauge MILD STEEL. Each hole measures 3.5mm in diameter. Each lamellar plate measures approximately 9.5 cm in length and approximately 2.2 cm in width. A set of 100 pieces of these lamellar plates weighs approximately 1 Kg and 345 grams. Note: This set of lamellae is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
