Description
The golden age of the Spanish Empire lives on through our 16th Century Spanish Morion Cabasset Helmet, an iconic piece of Renaissance armor famously worn by the Spanish Tercios. These elite soldiers were admired for their discipline and dominance on the battlefield, both across Europe and in the New World, and the Morion Cabasset became a lasting symbol of their bravery.
This reproduction is made from 16-gauge steel and closely follows the lightweight & functional design of the originals. Its tall, crested cone with a flared brim is not only different in appearance but also highly effective at deflecting strikes, stones, and projectiles. Soldiers relied on the Morion Cabasset Helmet for protection in the heat of battle, where blows from above were a constant threat.
Even with its strong build, the helmet weighs only 2.15 kg, making it comfortable for extended wear during reenactments, parades, or events. Inside, a stitched padded liner cushions the head and provides a balanced fit, while the leather chin strap with buckle keeps it secure during movement. With an inner circumference of 68 cm, it fits most adult head sizes with ease.
Each Morion Cabasset Helmet comes with a thin protective coat of oil applied before shipping to help prevent rust during storage. This layer can be wiped away easily with a dry cloth, revealing the polished steel finish beneath.

Note
Every Morion Cabasset helmet is handmade using traditional methods, so slight variations in weight, size, and finish are natural.
