Description
Flower-shaped bronze mounts like these have been used for years to decorate and strengthen belts, armour and pouches. The six-petal flower design, was popular between the 12th and 16th centuries, meant life, growth and balance, such values that were very meaningful in the medieval world.
Each Bronze mount is handmade from the ancient lost-wax casting method, practiced for thousands of years. This careful process hlps in capturing every small detail, creating a mount that’s strong and beautifully made. After casting, each piece is hand-finished, giving it a natural aged look that fits perfectly with any historical gear. Over time, the bronze will slowly darken, adding even more character.
Perfect for costume work, or leathercraft projects, these mounts bring together authentic design, fine craftsmanship, and lasting quality.
Care Instructions:
-
Keep away from water or damp conditions.
-
Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.
-
Let the bronze age naturally for a classic antique look.
Note:
The lost-wax casting (also called cire perdue) technique is over 6,000 years old. A wax model is made, covered in clay or plaster, and then heated so the wax melts away. Molten bronze is poured into the hollow mold, and once it cools, the piece is cleaned and polished. This ancient method ensures each item is unique, accurate, and true to tradition.
Small differences in color or texture of the Bronze Mount are natural and highlight the handcrafted, authentic nature of every piece.
