The Viking shield boss was a crucial component in both medieval and Norse combat. It protected the warrior’s hand during battle while strengthening the center of the shield. How to Install

1. Place the shield umbo centered over your grip hole.
   
2. Align all pre-drilled holes with your shield surface.
   
3. Insert the provided rivets through each hole.
   
4. Add washers from the inside for reinforcement.
5. Hammer or peen the rivets securely in place.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• Keep the boss clean and dry after handling.
  
• Apply a thin layer of oil to prevent rust.
  
• Avoid long-term moisture exposure.
  
• If using a functional shield, inspect rivets regularly.
  
• Store in a dry environment when not mounted.
