Description
This chainmail aventail is made from 9 mm 16 gauge high tensile spring steel rings, arranged in the classic European 4-in-1 weave. Designed as a protective curtain for helmets, it shields the neck, throat, and shoulders while retaining full mobility.
The butted mail construction keeps it lighter and more affordable than riveted versions, making it ideal for reenactments, stage, costume armor, and light combat training. A strong leather band allows secure lacing or riveting to bascinets, great helms, or other medieval helmets.
