Description

This ale drinking horn is handcrafted from ethically sourced ox horn and has beautiful brass accents with its rim and tip made from pure brass. It has a hand engraved Vegvisir rune which is a symbol that means guidance and safe journey in the Norse tradition. The horn is hand finished and polished inside out to make it smooth for your drinking use. It is suitable for room temperature and cold beverages as hot temperature may cause the horn to develop cracks. Each horn has its own natural curve and surface which gives it a beautiful medieval look shaped by nature itself.

Drinking horns were commonly used across Norse and medieval cultures for feasting. The Viking drinking horn was majorly used for mead, ale and beer, because horn was easily available and could easily be shaped as per need. Similar designs were also seen in Europe, where the medieval drinking horn became a symbol of gatherings and celebration. Made for use as well as display , this ale drinking horn holds about 350-450 ml of your preferred drinks and looks great as a mead drinking horn for feasts, LARP events, and fairs.

It can also be used as a Horn drinking mug for your home bars or displayed as a decorative item on your shelf. The brass detailings give it a beautiful look for your display. Its size and curvature make it comfortable to hold when used and is easy to enjoy drinks in gatherings.
