This Floral Norse Drinking Horn is made from ethically sourced natural ox horn, shaped by nature and finished by hands. Each horn keeps its original curve, grain, and color tones, making every piece truly one of a kind.
The horn has hand-engraved floral designs, carefully carved and painted on surface of the horn. The patterns and colors vary naturally, so no two horns ever look the same. Both the inside and outside are smoothly polished, making it comfortable to use and easy to clean.
Historically, medieval horn were used alot as drinking vessels across Viking and medieval cultures. This was because horn was easily available, strong, and safe for liquids, making it ideal for feasts, ceremonies, and daily use. Drinking horns were often shared during gatherings, for unity and tradition. Today, this horn helps recreate that connection to the past while being practical for use.
This mead drinking horn holds approximately 400 – 500 ml, making it suitable for mead, beer, cider, or other cold and room-temperature beverages. It is not suitable for hot drinks, as heat can damage the natural horn, causing warping or cracks.
Each medieval drinking horn comes with a branded canvas storage bag, making it safe for storage, travel, or gifting. It is equally suitable for display, themed events, or use at home.
