Description
This Medieval Gorget with Bevor recreates one of the most essential pieces of 15th-century armor, designed to protect the neck, throat, and lower face. As warfare advanced in late medieval Europe, the bevor became a standard defense worn with sallets and other open-faced helms.
Hand-forged from 18 or 16 gauge mild steel, this bevor offers both durability and authenticity. The hinged upper plate can be raised or lowered, providing ventilation, easier speech, and tactical flexibility. Breathing holes not only improve airflow but also echo the stylized detailing seen in historical examples.
The bevor is secured with adjustable leather straps and steel fittings, allowing it to sit comfortably over a padded gambeson or chain mail. Its polished surface and strong construction make it equally suited for combat training, historical reenactments, stage use, or as a striking display piece.

Note
Each bevor is handcrafted by skilled armorers. Small variations in size, symmetry, or surface finish are normal and add to the uniqueness of every piece.
