Description
This medieval war hammer is inspired by historical weapons used by knights and foot soldiers during the Middle Ages. Made for strength, balance, and visual authenticity, it combines solid materials with traditional craftsmanship.
The hammer head is hand-forged from carbon steel, because of its strength and impact resistant nature. It has a broad striking face for powerful blows and a rear beak which helps in concentrating force, a form commonly seen on the war hammer medieval weapons used against armor.
The shaft is made from solid ash wood, which is famous for its durability and shock-absorbing qualities. With a smooth finish and a comfortable grip circumference of 11 cm (4.3 in), it gives a secure handling and good control. The overall balance makes it suitable for controlled swings without excessive strain.
Historically, war hammers were favored for their ability to deal with armored opponents, and their design influenced later fantasy and Norse-inspired weapons. This piece shows that legacy, making it suitable as a medieval hammer for reenactment, a fantasy war hammer for themed events, or even a viking war hammer-style display piece.
This medieval war hammer is intended for LARP, training drills, and display. It is not designed for live combat or striking hard metal surfaces.
