Each leather garter is hand-dyed for a matte finish and has the look of the natural grain of the leather without artificial shine. Solid brass buckles give  secure fastening with a medieval look.The adjustable design with holes gives a comfortable fit on a wide range of leg sizes.

Historically, a medieval garter was used to keep hose or trousers in place, and was used by travelers and soldiers. Today, these garters have the same practical purpose. They pair well with hose, boots, tunics, or costume outfits.
