Description
Immerse yourself in the spirit of medieval history with our Norman Nasal Helmet, a reproduction of one of the most mportant helmets of the 11th century. This iconic style, worn by Norman knights and infantrymen, rose to fame during the Battle of Hastings in 1066, forever remembered in the Bayeux Tapestry.
Hand-crafted by skilled armourers, this nasal helmet is available in 14-gauge or 16-gauge mild steel, striking the perfect balance between protection and wearability. Its conical dome, with rivets, is shaped to deflect enemy strikes, while the bold nasal guard extends downward to shield the fac ensuring safety without sacrificing clear vision or breathability.
The interior is fitted with a stitched leather suspension liner, for comfort and balance. This design evenly distributes the helmet’s weight, making it suitable for extended use. Secured with a leather chin strap and brass buckle, the helmet stays firmly in place whether you’re participating in historical reenactments, LARP combat, stage performances, or simply displaying it as part of a collection.
