Description

This medieval war hammer is a reproduction of the fearsome crowsbeaks used during the 15th century. Designed to counter heavy plate armor, it was favored by knights of late medieval Europe for its devastating effectiveness in combat.

Hand-forged from steel, this medieval war hammer has a pointed beak which was used for piercing armor, with a hammer face for crushing blows. The hexagonal steel haft gives strength and a historically inspired look.

The handle is wrapped in leather which gives a secure and comfortable grip, with a protective guard. It comes with a genuine leather beak guard to cover the spike when not in use and is good when one needs to store it.

This weapon’s dual-headed design gave medieval warriors a really good advantage. As a medieval hammer, it gave piercing force with blunt impact, so it was highly effective. Often called the gothic war hammer, this style became very common as plate armor evolved. Its aggressive form made it a true battle hammer weapon.

Today, this war hammer is a very good utility for collectors and enthusiasts who seek an authentic medieval warhammer LARP use or for display.
