13th / 14th Century Great / Pot Helm Medieval Knight Steel Helmet

139.99$

Are you longing to fulfill your dream of playing a heavily armored knight in your next medieval evocation, Ren fair, or medieval market? Look no further! Our Great Pot Helm is the perfect choice for you! During the late 13th and early 14th centuries, the helm evolved into its most refined and elegant form. This development led to the knight’s head being fully enclosed and exceptionally well protected from all angles. As a result, this particular helm design became better suited for the tumultuous chaos of the melee compared to earlier versions that only featured a faceplate, primarily focused on frontal defence.

This helmet is handmade from 16 gauge MILD STEEL with a polished finish. The height is about 34 cm, the inner depth from front to back at eye level measures about 27 cm, the inner width at ear level is about 21 cm and the eye slits are about 14.7 cm long and 1.3 cm wide. This helmet has an inner circumference of 68 cm (before leather liner attachment) and will fit most head circumferences from about 58cm to 61cm, depending on the shape of the wearer’s head. If you desire to wear an additional padded cap, then measure your head circumference while wearing it. (The adjustable GENUINE LEATHER LINER already attached inside the helmet is often enough for most adult male heads). Weighs about 3 Kg 980 grams.

Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
