This V face chainmail coif/hood is the classic chainmail hood popular in LARP, reenactment medieval events. It would be the perfect protection under your favorite kettle hat or even worn as your main head protection for your favorite character.
It is intricately HANDMADE from butted 16 gauge mild steel rings, each with a diameter of approximately 10 mm. It is this feature of being butted that makes it affordable and hence, popular in LARP, Renaissance fairs, and other medieval events. It has a total length of about 50 cm and is ideal for head circumference ranging from 55-65cm. Weighs about 2 kg 200 grams.
Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
