Medieval 13th Century Padded Gambeson (Type 8) with Closed Collar

Our medieval padded gambeson is directly inspired by the Maciejowski Bible dated from the middle of the 13th century. It was a favored form of protection for footmen, spearmen, and crossbowmen, relying primarily on heavy gambeson as their chief protection. This replica has a thick buttoned collar protecting your throat. It supports the immense mobility of the arms, thanks to the carefully tailored armpit.

It has two layers of sturdy canvas, sandwiching a layer of proper padding. This makes it a REAL MEDIEVAL GAMBESON, contrary to most flimsy replicas made of synthetic outer and inner layers.
