15th Century German Sallet Steel Helmet with Padded Liner 16 gauge

The sallet was quite popular among late medieval armies because of its versatility and a perfect balance between protection and mobility. Just pair it with one of our bevors (sold separately), and you will get a great combination for your next LARP or reenactment! It can be worn by various characters, from humble archers to mighty knights! Whatever your social status, that was statistically THE most popular helmet of the 15th century in most of Europe.

Our sallet is HANDMADE from 16-gauge mild steel, lined with a comfortable and secure padded liner. An approximate circumference of 68 cm makes it fit almost all head sizes. A strong chin strap with a brass buckle keeps the helmet in place during battles. Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
