16th Century Spanish Morion Cabasset Helmet of the Tercios 16 gauge

129.99$

This emblematic helmet is of the Spanish infantry, the glorious men of the Tercios, renowned adventurers who conquered the new world during the 16th century. It was favored by infantry all around Europe but especially loved by this valiant infantry for providing significant protection from most of the attacks encountered on a 16th-century battlefield. It also proved quite utilitarian during siege warfare, where blows were often charged from above.

At the same time, it was tremendously comfortable and lightweight, allowing the wearer to endure sultry weather conditions, typical of the jungle of the new worlds, perhaps, the southern European plains where the Tercios illustrate themselves as brave, demonstrating fighting spirits beyond measure. Bringing various European armies to their knees, they acquired a legendary reputation of fearlessness, invincible with their pikes, swords, and arquebusiers.

This infantry helmet is HAND FORGED from sturdy 16-gauge MILD STEEL, making it last for years to come, event after event. The antique rustic finish makes it look war-worn, straight from the battlefields to a warrior like you. It has an inner circumference of 70 cm, lined with a padded cotton canvas liner. Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
