Description
This Viking skewer is inspired by historical eating picks used during medieval and Viking feasts. Such tools were commonly used instead of forks for meat, cheese, fruit, and other foods during dining.
The skewer is handcrafted from stainless steel, therefore it is rust-resistant, food-safe, and easy to maintain. While historical versions were made from iron, modern stainless steel is better for hygiene, long-term durability, and resistance to corrosion, especially useful for outdoor use and camps.
The design has a twisted shaft, known as a torsion, which improves grip and gives a visual appeal. The curled handle allows a leather cord to be attached if needed, making it easy to hang or carry. This style is very similar to traditional viking eating pick designs.
With its sharp tip, the skewer easily pierces food, functioning well as a viking food pick for feasts or camping meals. Its slim profile reflect the style of a medieval skewer, while the material choice replaces the traditional iron eating pick with a more practical modern alternative.
This Viking skewer is ideal for themed dining, LARP events, renaissance fairs, outdoor cooking, or as a unique historical table accessory.
