Description
This Viking pendant is a faithful bronze replica which is inspired by an archaeological discovery made near Harby, Denmark. The original artifact dates to around A.D. 800 and is believed to represent a Valkyrie, one of Odin’s legendary female warriors who chose fallen heroes for Valhalla.
The pendant has a Valkyrie standing confidently, holding a sword and a shield. Her detailed clothing, posture, and weapons show the beliefs of early Viking Age artistry. Such figures were worn not only as decoration but also as symbols of protection and strength.
This piece is created using the lost-wax casting method. This was an ancient method used by Viking metal workers in which a wax model is shaped first and molten bronze is poured into it to replicate the fine and crisp details. Bronze used as a material, makes this pendant have a solid feel in hand and when worn and can easily be seen no matter what outfit you wear. It naturally develops a warm tone that ages beautifully. It comes with an adjustable leather cord, so it can be worn close to your neck. The design pairs well with historical clothing, modern outfits, or layered jewelry.
Whether worn as a Viking Valkyrie Pendant, as a Norse Valkyrie Pendant, or given as a meaningful gift, this piece suits collectors, mythology enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to Viking culture. It also works perfectly as a viking bronze pendant or classic bronze pendant for everyday wear or ceremonial use.
