It was the favourite helmet of most Greek Hoplites heavily armoured spearmen during the Archaic and early Classical period, and even the famous Athenian leader, Pericles, was portrayed wearing it. Later on, it gave way to lighter forms of helmets that impeded less the hoplite’s vision and hearing but kept being used in a slightly modified fashion by the Italians as the “Italo-Corinthian” helmet up to the rise of the Roman Empire.

Our Corinthian helmet is lined with a comfortable and secure leather liner. The rich red battle crest makes it more emblematic of its Hoplite heritage. A circumference of approx. 68 cm makes it fit almost all head sizes. And a sturdy chin strap closed with a lovely buckle will help keep your helmet in place during all your battle.
