A well-designed pair of splint bracers is just the best companion for your next LARP/reenactment. Combined with other armour equipment, they offer excellent mobility and significant protection. So make sure you get one of these before your next event!
Directly inspired by 14th-century and early 15th-century sources, these historically reinforced leather bracers use the classic technique typical of the brigandine/coat-of-plate to create a unique vambrace offering both good protection and great mobility.
Well-designed by our skilled artisans from 3.2-3.5 thick GENUINE LEATHER and LIGHT 18-gauge MILD STEEL REINFORCING PLATES, these vambraces combine the best of the two worlds. Easy to lace onto a pourpoint or gambeson. ONE SIZE FITS MOST. A lining of supple, protective genuine suede on the inside makes it even more comfortable to wear for long hours.
Note: The steel plates on the structure are carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
